    Services on Marketit

Pick a category to see pricing examples, ROT/RUT information and tips before hiring the right company. Or start a job request directly in the chat.

    Electrician

Finding an available electrician with the right skills can be tricky. In the major cities they're often booked weeks in advance, and when the fuse blows or your EV charger acts up, you rarely have time to ring around and wait for cancellations.

    Plumber

When water starts dripping under the sink or the drain blocks up, you don't want to spend days searching for a firm. And before a bathroom renovation, you definitely don't want to end up with someone who cuts corners — that rarely shows immediately but has a habit of surfacing as an insurance dispute or an unpleasant water leak a few years later.

    Moving company

Moving is hard enough on its own. You don't also want to worry about a firm turning up late, lacking insurance or suddenly demanding cash at the door. Unfortunately, the moving industry is one where it's easiest to end up with the wrong choice — especially in cities and around month-end when demand is highest.

    Cleaning company

A good cleaning firm makes the home feel as if it tidies itself. A poor one usually only becomes apparent when something has gone missing from a drawer or the parquet has a scratch that wasn't there before. The difference between the two rarely shows up in the quote — it's in the routines and agreements behind it.

    Carpenter

Finding the right carpenter is rarely as simple as you'd think. The trade spans everything from heavy outdoor construction to millimetre-level interior work, and most firms specialise in one direction. Hire the wrong kind for the wrong job and it shows quickly — either in how it looks or in how long it lasts.

    Painter

Good painting isn't noticed. It's only when it's badly done that you spot it — usually within six months, in the form of cracks, peeling or an uneven surface someone tried to rescue with a last hasty coat. The difference rarely lies in the paint, but in how much time the painter spends on what no one sees afterwards.

    Gardener

The garden is one of the few places where a little help a few times a year shows up very clearly — and where the wrong kind of help also does. A poorly cut hedge grows unevenly for years, and pruning at the wrong time can do more harm to a fruit tree than leaving it alone.

    Roofer

The roof is the most expensive surface on a house to renovate, and at the same time the most important protection from the weather. A poorly executed roof job rarely shows immediately — it appears as moisture, mould and rot that progresses far before becoming visible. By then it's no longer about a roof but about a structure that needs saving.

    Web agency

A new website is rarely a goal in itself — it's a tool for selling more, appearing more professional or being found by the right people. The agency you choose decides whether the site actually delivers on that, or whether it just becomes nicer-looking than the old one without moving any numbers.

    Accounting consultant

Accounting is one of the few areas where mistakes cost much more than doing it right. A late return, a missed VAT period or a forgotten deduction can quickly become far more expensive than a month's bookkeeping, and a firm that doesn't quite understand your industry usually only shows it when Skatteverket comes calling.

    Car workshop

What separates a reputable garage from a less reputable one is rarely the hourly rate itself but what you get for the money. An authorised garage (MRF or KBV) works to a fixed price list, documents what's actually been done and uses parts that preserve the car's warranty. Expect SEK 800–1,400/hour incl. VAT during the day, and always ask for a quote before they start — that's your right under the Consumer Services Act.

    Locksmith

A certified locksmith (SLR, the Swedish Lock and Security Suppliers' Association) works to a fixed price list, shows ID before starting and leaves a receipt with the firm's company registration number. Expect SEK 1,500–3,500 for an out-of-hours call-out during the night or early morning, including the lock opening itself.

    Ventilation company

An OVK (mandatory ventilation inspection) can only be performed by a certified inspector under Boverket's rules — it's not any installer who can sign the report. For FTX or exhaust-air heat pump installation you want a firm that sizes the system to your specific house, not against a standard template. Expect SEK 800–1,200/hr during the day, and ROT applies to labour in your own home.

    Photographer

A good photographer has a clear portfolio in the genre you need, a contract that sorts out delivery time, number of images, copyright and usage rights, and usually charges 25–50% deposit when booking a wedding or larger production. Expect SEK 2,500–4,500 for a portrait/family session, SEK 18,000–45,000 for a wedding and SEK 6,000–18,000 for a half-day of corporate photography.

    Catering

A good caterer asks early about allergies, guest count, venue, timings and how much staff you want on site, and then provides an itemised line-by-line quote. Expect SEK 250–450 per cover for lunch, SEK 450–850 for a 3-course dinner and SEK 800–1,600 for a wedding dinner including service. Confirm the menu in writing and finalise the guest count at least 1 week before.

    Lawyer

A good lawyer knows your specific area — family law, housing law, employment law or business law are different worlds — and charges in a way you understand. Expect SEK 1,500–2,800/hour excl. VAT with private lawyers, higher with advocates (medlemmar i Sveriges Advokatsamfund). Many offer fixed prices on common matters such as a will (SEK 3,500–8,000) and a cohabitation agreement (SEK 2,500–5,500). Don't forget that your home insurance often covers up to 75% of the cost in a dispute via the legal protection cover.

    IT support

For businesses, good IT support is about prevention: clear backup routines, documented access management and a service contract with defined response times. For private individuals, it's more about someone who comes to the kitchen table and explains things plainly. Expect SEK 850–1,400/hour excl. VAT for business and SEK 600–1,100/hour incl. VAT for private. Since 2023, IT services in the home are covered by the RUT rebate, halving labour cost.

    Personal trainer

A reputable PT is certified through an industry-recognised programme (PT EQF 4, SAFE, EHFA or similar), does a health assessment before the first session and builds a plan around your goals — not a standard template assigned to every new client. Expect SEK 700–1,100 per hour and SEK 5,500–9,500 for a 10-session package. Online coaching is cheaper (SEK 1,500–4,500/month) and works well if you already train regularly.

    Architect

A good architect works in clear stages: sketch, system drawings, planning-permission drawings and, on larger projects, construction drawings. Expect 8–14% of the build cost for a house project followed end-to-end, or fixed prices on bounded scopes such as planning drawings (SEK 15,000–45,000). The SAR/MSA title isn't a requirement but a quality indicator — only members of Sveriges Arkitekter may use it.

    Marketing agency

A good marketing agency asks early about your business goals, not just campaign goals. Expect SEK 850–1,500/hour excl. VAT, or fixed retainers from SEK 12,000/month for smaller clients up to SEK 40,000–80,000/month for active multi-channel advertising. Always request reporting tied to revenue, not just impressions and clicks. And never sign a contract with longer than 3 months' lock-in when you're just starting — good agencies don't need to lock you in.
