We got tired of how complicated it is to find the right help. So we built a place where small businesses get to be seen on the same terms as big ones, and where you, looking for help, don't have to guess.
Finding a good tradesperson, moving company or consultant is often more complicated than it should be. You compare ads, Google reviews and are rarely fully sure who you're actually calling.
At the same time there are lots of small, talented companies across the US and UK – sole proprietors, family businesses and local specialists – who aren't seen because they don't have the budget to compete for the top spot on Google.
We wanted to build something that solves both problems at once: a place where it's easy to describe what you need, where information about companies is honest and comparable, and where small players get the same chance to be seen as big ones.
That became Marketit.
We want to simplify everyday life for you who need help at home or at work, but also for you who run a business and want to find more customers. That's why we built Marketit on these principles.
You shouldn't need to be an expert or have prior knowledge to find the right help. Whether you know exactly what you're looking for or just have a problem you want solved, the path forward should be equally simple. Describe it in your own words, and we'll make sure it reaches someone who can do the job.
All profiles show the same type of information: what the company does, which services they offer, where they're located and what others have written about them. No hidden sponsorships, no "premium" badges that really just mean someone paid extra.
Small companies rank on the same terms as big ones. Our matching looks at relevance, geography and quality, not who has the biggest ad budget. That's how we believe a marketplace for services should work.
We're a small team based in the US and UK. All development, support and operations happen right here!
Marketit is still early in its journey, so reach out if you have feedback, ideas or find something that doesn't work!
Describe what you need in plain words. No six-page forms, no jargon. Just direct results.
All profiles show the same type of information. No hidden sponsorships or "premium" badges.
No one can pay their way to a top position. Matching is based on relevance and quality, not budget.
